6th Dec 2017. AF-PA - British Lung Foundation
As temperatures soared for the first time in London this year in mid-April, AF-PA represented by Johnnie Halliday and Philip Benke presented a cheque for £6000 raised at the Christmas Charity Event in Marylebone to fundraiser Rebekah Ahmed of the British Lung Foundation (“BLF”).
Johnnie of Linedata (Lending and Leasing Software) and Philip of Sopra Banking Software, worked together at Cassiopae Ltd until 2014 with John Allen, Software Development Director. Sadly, John passed away in 2016 after a brave fight against lung disease so this contribution represented AF-PA desire to remember a former AF-PA member, colleague and friend.
Rebekah from BLF commented, “It’s a significant sum to receive and we thank AF-PA for its donation towards our ongoing campaign. Together, we’re making sure that one day everyone will breathe clean air with healthy lungs.”
