28th Apr 2019. Credo Asset Finance - Dementia Revolution

Lynne Hall, Management Accountant at Credo, is taking on the challenge of a lifetime to run the London Marathon on April 28th all in aid of The Dementia Revolution. Credo interviewed Mrs Motivator herself...

  • What was your reason to enter? – I entered the ballot on a whim not expecting to get a place and was delighted and terrified in equal measure.
  • Why have you chosen this charity? Has it got special meaning to you? If so why? The Dementia Revolution is the chosen charity for the London 2019 Marathon, it’s a charity very close to my heart as my dad has very recently been diagnosed with Alzheimers and Vascular Dementia.
  • How long have you been running? Is it something you are doing for the first time or a sport you are passionate about? I have run for years, but not very fast or far. The furthest I had run before this training was 10k.
  • Have you followed a particular plan to get fit for the marathon? Tell me about your plan – I am following the Virgin London Marathon beginners training plan, a 17 week plan that has taken me from gentle 20 minutes easy runs to the 20 miles I hope to do before the big day!
  • Are you excited or scared? – I am looking forward to the day, I’ve been told to think of it as the reward for all the hard work training before hand.
  • Who is coming to support you? All my family and a few friends.
  • What’s the first thing you will do when you’ve finished? Probably cry
  • Will you do anymore? It’s hard to say at the moment I would say no, the training is a big commitment both in time and energy, but as I cross the line with Sir Mo – who knows!!
