Aldermore, the specialist lender and Peter Shilton, England’s all-time record holder for the most competitive appearances in world football, teamed up to support Headway’s annual charity football tournament for the fifth consecutive year.

The 5-a-side tournament raised £13,016 for Headway, a charity that supports brain injury survivors. In total, 19 teams competed, including, two Aldermore teams, fourteen asset finance teams and three funder teams. The winning side, Kennet Kings (Kennet Leasing), took home the Adam Massen cup, named in memory of Adam Massen, a member of Aldermore’s asset finance team who tragically died from a brain injury in 2014.

Held on Friday 8th November 2019, the tournament took place at St George’s Park in Burton–on-Trent, the home of England’s national football teams and also the Football Association’s National Football Centre.

In total, in the last five years, over £50,000 has been raised for charity from the football tournaments.
