28th Sep 2018. KeyFleet - East Lancashire Hospice
On Friday 28th September, the KeyFleet team welcomed more than 30 guests from businesses across the Ribble Valley to an afternoon of fundraising, horse racing, champagne and nibbles.
£317 was raised for the East Lancashire Hospice throughout the afternoon from a combination of horse racing bets and raffle tickets.
The donations from the Race Day bring KeyFleet’s current fundraising total to over £1,000 – with more donations rolling in every day.
Liam Mulligan, our finance specialist, who single-handedly organised the afternoon said: “The event was such a success that we hope to plan a similar event in the coming years! We would like to thank all of our guests for their kind donations. We could not have organised such a successful afternoon without their support and generosity. We’re thrilled that we’ve managed to raise so much for such an important and well-loved local charity.”
25 companies competed against each other in 2018 to raise as much money as possible within a 6-month period.
Participating companies will be given £50 to kickstart their fundraising, thanks to Organic Insurance who are once again the headline sponsor of the challenge. The challenge will run from the 1st of April until the 30th of September, with the winners announced in October at an awards ceremony.
Business support is key to the hospice as it has to raise £3.7 million pounds a year to keep its doors open. KeyFleet are excited to be taking part in the challenge to support this brilliant cause! East Lancashire Hospice provides a variety of care services to patients with life limiting illnesses from Blackburn, Darwen, Accrington and Clitheroe. East Lancashire Hospice is an great cause which is close to many hearts in the community who have had family members lovingly cared for here.
