Meet the expanding UTB team
03/03/2026
United Trust Bank (“UTB”) said it would be growing the team this year, and it is delivering on that commitment, saying, “Whilst technology continues to transform the way we all do business, it’s still the people delivering the service who make the biggest difference.”
UTB has continued to invest in recruiting experienced and dedicated people across all disciplines. They bring enthusiasm, specialist knowledge and a commitment to providing excellent service to UTB's broker partners. UTB welcomes its latest hires who are helping the company to develop and deliver the best experience for brokers and customers.

Umar Butt joined UTB in December from BPCE. Umar has been a team leader in the flow underwriting team and has extensive experience of underwriting across the agricultural, transport, industrial and construction verticals. Umar is already getting out there adding value to UTB’s agricultural proposition and reconnecting with brokers at trade shows and events.
Another joiner from BPCE is Tharun Rajagi who moved across to UTB in January. Tharun is part of the flow team as an underwriter with special interest in developing UTB’s High Value Car finance offering.

Grant Watkins also arrived in January, becoming part of the KYC team. Grant has lots of experience from various KYC, AML and Financial Crimes based roles at FDM Group and KPMG and is already a valuable additional resource to the team.
Payouts
Jessica Womack rounded off this hat-trick of hires from BPCE joining the increasingly busy payouts team. With previous experience from HTB and Renaissance Asset Finance behind her, it’s no surprise she has quickly made a strong impact, securing her mandate within her first month.
UTB says, “2026 is off to a busy start, confidence is increasing, and we’re keen to provide the quick solutions your customers need to seize opportunities and achieve their goals.”
